He Heard My Cry!
Autobiography
Die! That horrible day in 1999 was the only thing that I wanted to do. The only solution left to escape the misery and pain I had been in, and was still being swallowed by. “I would be better off dead,” I thought. This would be the day. I considered it before, but dismissed it each time; now I was really struggling to see any other way out. I was lamenting, crying out to a God that I didn’t know anything about, but only heard of. Part of me wanted to “check out,” but another part of me hoped that the God that I had heard about, could hear me and do something, anything; just make it go away.

Rolanda Macharia
Rolanda Macharia was born in Detroit Michigan, raised in Los Angeles, California, and later moved to McKinney Texas in the year 2005. Rolanda is married to James Macharia who hails from Nairobi, Kenya, and has 5 children and 20 grandchildren. Rolanda’s professional endeavors have included a robust career with Bank of America for 20 plus years in various capacities. Mrs. Macharia has also served on the Board of Directors for the North Central Texas Workforce Commission for the past 8 years and is also the founder and Executive Director of L.I.F.T. R&R, which is a Non-profit 501C3 Organization. This organization provides resources and referrals to people that are in need. L.I.F.T. This program is designed to bring wealthy, middle-class, and poverty level, people together to try and get a better understanding the causes of poverty, and how to work together in a, “just getting by world.” Rolanda also graduated from the Leadership McKinney academy, and is a very passionate person when it comes to serving others. Some of the other accolaides that can be attributed to Rolanda are; Youth and Adult Sunday School Teacher, Public Motivational Speaker, Church Administrator, and more. All of these things have been routine for Rolanda for well over a decade and she does not appear to be declining in her committment to any degree. Rolanda attributes her successes to a loving God, a saving grace, and the many people that God has placed in her life and the resources that they provide.
“Finished your book. What an amazing woman you are to have overcome what you experienced during your childhood and early adult life. I think about the young lady who came to our church and took notes throughout Sunday School & the young lady who was always asking for clarification of what was spoken in the pulpit. The young woman who is now reaching out to help others. You’ve come a long way Rolanda and I know God will continue to lift you higher. I am so honored to be called your friend.” -Janet Croom
“Ma’am, I just wanted to tell you that you are an incredible writer. I finished your book in one sitting, I couldn’t put it down. My only complaint is that somebody I care for had to endure that mess…but what an incredible testimony to God’s faithfulness.” – Pastor Matt Long, Victory Church of McKinney, TX
